In Loving Memory of Lisa
With broken hearts, we remember Lisa, 46, a devoted mother of six whose life was tragically and unexpectedly cut short while on what was meant to be a joyful family holiday.
Lisa passed away suddenly during a taxi journey to Haven Marton Mere caravan park in Blackpool on Monday, alongside her husband and 13-year-old daughter, Kadie. The family had been excited for this special getaway — a trip they had worked hard and saved for, marking their first holiday together in several years.
After traveling from Manchester by train to Blackpool, the family split into two taxis because of the number of bags they carried. Lisa was traveling with her husband Baba and daughter Kadie, while two of her sons, Leighlan and Mason, followed behind in another taxi.
What should have been the beginning of a happy and much-needed family break quickly turned into a heartbreaking tragedy. According to family friend Danielle Latchford, Baba noticed during the journey that Lisa “didn’t look right.” The taxi driver was asked to divert to the hospital, but before they could get there, Lisa became unable to speak and sadly passed away.
The suddenness of her passing has left her family devastated, trying to process a loss that no one could have seen coming.
Lisa was more than a mother—she was the heart of her family, the one who held everything together with love, strength, and care. She dedicated her life to her children, always putting their happiness first and making sacrifices so they could have the best life possible. Her love for her family was endless, and her presence brought warmth, comfort, and joy to those around her.
To lose someone so unexpectedly, especially in the middle of what was meant to be a moment of happiness, is a pain beyond words. For her children, husband, and loved ones, the grief is unimaginable.
Lisa’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of how fragile life can be and how quickly everything can change. It reminds us to cherish every moment, every laugh, and every memory with the people we love.
