In Loving Memory of Roger Hopson
With heavy hearts, family, friends, and the Trigg County community are mourning the tragic loss of Roger Hopson, whose life was taken far too soon following a devastating two-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon in Kentucky.
According to the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred at approximately 1:22 p.m. on Kentucky 139 near Hurricane Road. Investigators say the crash happened when an SUV driven by Sarah Daugherty of Tennessee attempted to pull into a driveway and entered the path of an oncoming vehicle traveling along Kentucky 139. That vehicle was driven by Janine Riley, with Roger Hopson as a passenger.
The violent impact left all three individuals seriously injured and prompted an immediate response from deputies, first responders, and medical personnel who worked quickly to provide aid at the scene. Sarah Daugherty was transported to Trigg County Hospital, while Janine Riley and Roger Hopson were airlifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville due to the severity of their injuries.
Despite the determined efforts of emergency responders and medical teams, Roger Hopson sadly succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the crash.
